5 Ways To Repurpose Your Content Using Searchie Hubs And Column Sections

5-Ways-To-Repurpose-Your-Content-Using-Searchie-Hubs-And-Column-Sections-4

Does your digital content need some reviving? Or maybe you do? Creating content can be exhausting, cause burnout, and, not to mention, eat up a lot of time!

Sound familiar? No worries, stick with us. We’re showing you 5 ways to repurpose your content and add something new and exciting to deliver to your audience.

A hot tip for avoiding burnout as a Content Creator is to batch-create your content. If you’re unfamiliar with this term, think of it as baking a batch of cookies. You wouldn’t mix up ingredients, bake one cookie, wash the dishes, and put them back in the cupboard… All to just start over and do it again, right?

Think of making content like baking cookies. It’s more efficient to cook up a batch of 12 sweet morsels in one shot so you can use the rest of your time to focus on other areas of your business.

In this blog, we’re showing you how to take your cookies (that you probably already have!) and repurpose them within your business so you can spend less time in the kitchen… Erm, or creating content.

Ready to get cookin’? Start with Video. Video is the king of content, making it a great place to start. Batch film your video content, so you can then turn the audio into a podcast, the transcripts into blogs, and the long-form content into short, sweet nuggets…

This analogy has clearly gone too far, but you get it!

But seriously, we just can’t get enough Column Sections…

Columns Sections allow you to line up 1-4 rows of graphic content in a single section of your Hub. Each column can be customized and built up of headlines, subheadlines, text, images, video, buttons, and/or line breaks.

And, here at Searchie HQ and in the community, this feature has sparked some fresh, creative ideas for repurposing and delivering your digital product.

Good news for you, we’re dishing out our top 5 ideas to get you started!

How To Use Searchie Hub Sections

We’re all about keeping it simple, so we won’t go too deep into the details of Searchie Hubs. Instead, we’re focusing on what they make possible using Column Hub Sections.

If you’re new to this neck of the woods, a Searchie Hub is where you package up all your content to share and deliver to your audience.

You can use Sections to build your Hub, then offer it privately or publicly – for free or at a cost.

Head over to our help center to learn more about Searchie Hubs.

1: Upgrade Your Searchie Hubs’ Homepage

First impressions matter — why not welcome your audience with an updated and upgraded homepage?! New members will be wowed, and your loyal, existing audience will appreciate that you’ve got your finger on the pulse, bringing them the best possible experience using the latest features available.

Take advantage of Column Sections and custom backgrounds to shake the dust off your original homepage. Repurpose your content, but freshen things up to truly reflect your business’ branding! Using customization features, create a more curated and consistent look throughout your Hub.

As we mentioned up top, with the new Columns feature you can create columns of content (up to 4 per row). In the example below, we used 3 columns, each with an image and button element.

2: Create A Contact Page For You And Your Team

Is your business growing like a weed? Maybe it feels like new team members are popping up like daisies…

It’s exciting stuff, but you want to make sure that your audience members (and team!) know exactly who to turn to for help. Say hello to your new contact page.

Using Columns Sections and a Hub Page, create a directory of your team members with as much or as little information you prefer. Add headshots, names, titles, biographies, social links, email addresses — the sky’s the limit!

3: Use Searchie’s Automatic Transcriptions To Repurpose Your Content Into A Blog

Repurpose, repurpose, repurpose.

If you have audio and/or video media sitting around, we have good news for you… You’re currently sitting on a content goldmine. Think of all the knowledge-packed goodness you have right under your nose.

Searchie is your pickaxe to mine that gold so you can dig through hours of content quickly, find the real gems, and polish them up so they shine!

Think of Searchie as your central library for ALL of the audio and video content you’ve created. Searchie pulls in all your content from a whole bunch of sources, like Dropbox, Facebook, Vimeo, and more. Then once inside, it’s automatically transcribed.

Hear us out… Let’s say you’re in the Culinary market, and you wanted to write a blog or create a recipe on… shucking oysters. All you’d need to do is search for that keyword in your library, like, “oyster”. Instantly, all of your content including that keyword will populate, displaying how many times the word appears in each media file.

From there, you could easily pull the transcript and turn it into a blog… FAST.

Once you’ve mined your rich content, create a new Hub Page, then combine text sections, titles, and images to build out your blog post.

4: Create A Sales Page

Is your business website getting tons of traffic but not quite translating into sales?

It may be time to consider creating a sales page. No sales experience is necessary! Think of your sales page as a detailed description of your product or offer, with a means for someone to purchase what you’re selling.

Not selling anything just yet? You can use these features to create an opt-in page. The idea is that any traffic landing on your sales page will get excited and have a good sense of what you are offering, and opt-in to be the first to receive it! Adding an opt-in can help increase your conversion rates and spin those viewers into sales.

So are you ready to create your sales page?

Create a new Hub, then use Featured and Column Sections to build a professional-looking sales page — no coding required! Then, add a custom domain to make it official.

5: Add A News Feed To Your Searchie Hub

Okay, this isn’t a traditional “news feed”, but hear us out…

You’ll need to update manually, but the idea is to create a curated page of news you want to share with your community. This could include new content, promotions, and more.

We’ve taken out some of the guesswork for you, here are some of our ideas for an epic community news feed:

  • Create a Playlist Section to drive your audience to new or recent must-see content.
  • Use Column Sections to link to external articles! Did you read about something super cool that you want to share with your audience? Awesome! Whip up a quick thumbnail and link directly to your news source.
  • Add more Columns with your most recent promo code, testimonials from your community, or feature your “Member of the Month”!

Columns in the Community

Okay, we’ve spilled the piping hot tea when it comes to our favorite ways to use Columns Sections and how to recreate them. There are endless possibilities as to what can be created inside a Searchie Hub! But don’t just take our word for it…

Searchie Community member Sue-Anne shared her step-by-step process in the Facebook group — from going live, to repurposing her digital content even beyond a blog!

Not to mention, Sue-Anne is setting herself up for success…

By implementing practices while her team is still growing, onboarding new team members, like a Virtual Assistant, will be a breeze! And we love that Sue-Anne is manifesting this already:

I don’t have a VA — but when I hire one, it will definitely be the first thing I train her to do!

We can’t wait to see your new Blog Hub grow, Sue-Anne. Thanks for sharing!

Sue-Anne isn’t the only community member taking advantage of Column Sections. Check out how Gail, Mitch, and Phillis are building their online business through blogs and more.
